Installing and getting going was pretty straightforward; my issue seems to be with the SiL 3. There are always variables so as long as sil31224 works out you are good to go. When the card is plugged into the card the Silicon Image Raid Utility see all the hard drives at 2. It seems something that card did, wasn’t too well received by the motherboard’s BIOS.

Same card here, and it works great, though I did have the flash the card’s BIOS to get Win 7 to let it use the drives. I need a 4 port eSata solution that does port multiplying I have a 3l32 card and I get the driver from Windows Updates as an optional download.
What I meant to say is that when I try to create the raid5 it sees the hard drive but it fails to create it. In the absence of proper drivers, in many cases Win8 drivers may work.
